Tune into WPCampus 2018 Live on July 13th-14th | AWESEM

One of the strengths of WordPress has always been its community feel; despite the fact it’s now the world’s largest CMS it has still retained a sense of community and nowhere is this more prevalent then at the multitude of WordPress events held in every corner of the globe.

You’ve heard of WordCamps but have you heard of WPCampus? This annual event was brought to life to highlight the way WordPress can be used in higher education. The WPCampus website explains it as:

WPCampus is a community of web professionals, educators, and people dedicated to the confluence of WordPress in higher education. Our mission is to advance higher education by providing a support structure and wealth of knowledge for anyone who uses, or is interested in using, WordPress in the world of higher education. We also support and organize multiple conferences.

This year’s WPCampus event is taking place from July 13th-14th at Washington University in St Louis and promises a calendar packed full of workshops and talks ranging from ‘Dare to share: Design principles for using CMSs in academic research’ to ‘What I’ve learned from five years of WordPress at a public university’.

With the schedule kicking off tomorrow morning you might be wondering why we’re bringing this to your attention when there’s no time to book a flight and get over to St Louis to enjoy the conference. However, this year’s WPCampus has a little surprise up its sleeve as all talks from this year’s two day event will be live streamed for free (and available afterwards too).

The full line up of sessions and details of how to live stream the event are available on the WPCampus 2018 website. That’s your weekend viewing sorted (World Cup final? Never heard of it…).
